A 71-year-old Toronto man was airlifted to a London hospital Friday evening after falling seven or eight metres down a ravine near Flesherton.

Police were called shortly after 4 p.m. After receiving a report that a man had fallen while hiking on a trail off Hoggs Falls Road with two friends. The man slipped and fell, injuring himself.

Grey Highlands firefighters rapelled to the bottom of the ravine to rescue the man. He was airlifted to Victoria Hospital, and police say his injuries are non-life threatening.
