Truck rolls, driver charged

An Arran-Elderslie man has been charged with impaired driving after a single-vehicle crash in Brockton on Saturday.

South Bruce OPP received the report of the crash on the Greenock-Brant Townline shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday. When they arrived they found a green GMC 1500 pickup truck lying in the ditch on its roof. The driver was located nearby and found to have been drinking alcohol, it said in a news release.

The 32-year-old man was charged with impaired driving, operate over 80 milligrams and breach of probation.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing on Monday.

There were no injuries reported at the scene, the news release said.
