The clock in front of city hall is once again more than just a pretty face.
For the first time in several years — it’s unclear exactly how many — the clock is working again and telling time.
The new device started ticking Friday afternoon after some work by an electrician.
Georgian Bay Signworks installed the new clock on the tower, which was installed in 1966. The cost was about $9,000. An as-yet unnamed benefactor contributed $8,000. The rest of the money is to come out of the city’s 2012 surplus funds.
