Three South Bruce Peninsula residents have been charged after a drug bust on a property on Bruce Rd. 8 in South Bruce Peninsula on Thursday.
Police executed a search warrant at the property where an outdoor marijuana grow operation was found. Police seized marijuana plants, marijuana bud, marijuana shake and cannabis resin were seized with an estimated street value of close to $140,000, Bruce Peninsula OPP said in a news release on Friday.
Two firearms and a prohibited device were also seized, the news release said.
Scott Walker, 31, and Krista Lee Hillier, 26, were arrested and both were charged with production of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of cannabis resin, possession of a prohibited device, two charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm and unsafe storage of ammunition.
Both are to appear in court in Owen Sound at a later date, the news release said.
Todd Robert Johnston, 47, has been charged with production of marijuana and possession of marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Sept. 12.
The OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau - Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of Bruce Peninsula OPP Crime Unit and the West Region Emergency Response Team, executed the search warrant at the property, the news release said.
