The annual Owen Sound job fair draws more than 1,000 job seekers every year, according to the county.

It will return to the city Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre, between 2 and 7 p.m.

“We have one of the lowest unemployment rates in Ontario,” said Jacinda Rudolph, an economic development officer for Grey County.

“So we are expanding our promotional efforts to reach beyond our economic region as we don’t have the workforce to fill the jobs that are being promoted in Grey and Bruce.”

A second job fair will take place in Hanover on Thursday, Feb. 27 at John Diefenbaker Secondary School. It opens for students only between 1 and 3:15 p.m., then doors re-open between 4 and 7:30 p.m. to the public in general.
