Saugeen Shores police charged one of two men alleged to have beaten up a third man, leaving him with significant injuries, a police news release said.
Two men who knew the victim entered his home about 11:30 p.m. Dec. 31 and assaulted him. He chose not to go to hospital but the next day friends took him, where “significant internal injuries” were diagnosed.
A 38-year-old Port Elgin man was arrested Jan. 1 and charged with assault causing bodily harm and unlawfully in a dwelling house. He was held for bail. Police didn’t name him. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a second, unnamed suspect.
