A Mount Forest woman was found to have highly toxic blue and purple fentanyl when she was arrested in a parking lot in downtown Owen Sound on Thursday, city police say.
The 35-year-old woman was arrested in the business parking lot by the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit and uniform patrol. There was an arrest warrant in effect for the woman, who was also on probation, police said in a news release.
Along with the fentanyl, police also seized a set of digital scales and cash from the woman. The total street value of the seizure is between $800 and $1,100.
The woman has been charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, failure to comply with recognizance of bail, failure to comply with an undertaking and breach of a probation order.
She was held in custody for a bail hearing on Friday.
