For the third straight day, the Grey Bruce Health Unit reported no new cases of COVID-19 in the region.
Of the 172 cases confirmed in Grey-Bruce to date, five remain active, according to the daily situation report released by the Health Unit on Thursday.
There have been 155 cases that have recovered, while 12 cases have been referred to other health units. No cases are hospitalized and there have been no deaths in Grey-Bruce attributed to the virus. A total of 32 cases have been reported in health-care workers working in the two counties.
There are no active outbreaks in long-term care or retirements homes, while there has yet to be an outbreak reported in a school or daycare in Grey-Bruce.
Health units across Ontario reported 934 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday and 10 more deaths.
Most of the cases were found in densely populated centres including Toronto (420), Peel Region (169), York Region (95) and Ottawa (58).
More than 35,000 tests were completed provincially in the 24-hours preceding Thursday’s data drop, and a backlog of over 40,000 tests are still waiting for results.
There are now 322 in hospital as a result of the disease with 77 patients in intensive care and 52 on ventilators.
