Police looking for suspect after shots fired in The Blue Mountains

Police are investigating after shots were fired in a residential area in the Town of the Blue Mountains.

Just before 6 p.m. on Monday, OPP officers received reports of the sound of gunshots near the cul-de-sac on Lake Drive. An investigation at the scene found evidence of shots being fired and that the suspect had fled the area prior to police arriving, Collingwood and the Blue Mountains OPP said in a news release.

No one was injured in the incident and the investigation is ongoing.

Police described the suspect as a Black man, 30 to 40 years old, approximately five feet, eight inches tall with a thin build and a beard. He was wearing a blue short and tan coloured pants, the release said.

Detectives from the crime unit with the Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP detachment, with the assistance of the OPP Forensics Identification Services are investigating.
