Two teens arrested after break-in at Hillcrest school

Two teenage boys were arrested and charged after a break-in at Hillcrest Public School in Owen Sound on Friday.

Owen Sound police responded to an alarm at the school on 8th Street West at about 3 a.m. and found a glass door had been smashed.

A 16-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy were arrested as they exited the building and both have been charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime, police said in a news release.

The 16-year-old was also charged with two counts of breach of probation.

The boys were later released to the custody of their parents with a court date set in May.
