It’s been a busy couple of weeks in the Grove, the rain has changed plans several times but it was so needed, and now we can see that corn and beans growing! Look out for combines now – farm safety always.
We were saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Kevin Newman, son of Heather and Dan Newman and extend our condolences to the Clifford and Newman families during this difficult time. Our community also extends their sympathy to the Cliffe and Campbell families on the recent loss of their son and grandson Tucker Cliffe.
Congratulations to Wilma and Cecil Sutton on celebrating your 62nd Wedding Anniversary recently. Also happy anniversary to Fran and Al Edwards last week.
There have been quite a few birthdays already this month – Bennett Bridge is one year old and Charlotte Farrell is now two. Happy Birthday also to Sandy Bridge, Jean MacDonald, Sarah Farrell, Madison Maschke and Tammy Murray!
Congratulations also to Spencer and Ashley Harris on the arrival of their son Luca James, July 9, and to Jon and Maxine Murray on the birth of their little girl Marley Joan, July 17!
Purple Grove WI meeting was July 7 and they shared childhood summer memories. They are looking to plan for future meetings some time in August. September 1 will be via zoom with Christine Allum on Fraud Prevention. A possible tour is being planned for October.
Now that folks can have visitors, Largaret McInnes was pleased to have family visiting her at Trillium Court. Her family included Nancy and Brian King of Chatham, Karen McInnes, Ron Dore, Dianne Gotschalk, Stephanie To of Toronto, and Linda McInnes. They all appreciated the lovely weather that they could visit outside.

Ripley Agricultural Society extends a big thank you to Wild Willies and Beavertails for coming out and helping to show off the recent upgrades and improvements to the Ripley Agricultural Building. Folks sure enjoyed seeing and catching up with people they haven’t seen for awhile and of course the great food.
Also, the Ripley Agricultural Society will be supporting Julie Anne Staehli’s Journey To The Tokyo Olympics with this event.
